Founder, The Italian Language Boss
Alessandro Mazzafoglia is the founder of The Italian Language Boss, founded in 2023. Originally from Sardinia, Italy, he graduated in Italian literature and philosophy.
Over the past four years, his work has reached 1.5M+ followers and thousands of students worldwide. He has also participated in conferences and educational events discussing his approach to Italian language teaching and methodology.
His teaching is delivered in partnership with Filitalia International, one of the most prestigious and largest international Italian associations.
His work has been featured in Italian media, including a recent interview with La Nuova Sardegna.

The Italian Language Boss has recently begun a collaboration with Filitalia International to bring this shared focus on Italian language and education into a new live learning program.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
Are the lessons live or recorded?
They are live. Every lesson takes place in real time via Zoom, with The Italian Language Boss and your classmates together in the same session. You'll speak, listen, interact and receive feedback in real time — this is not a pre-recorded course.
I'm not sure which level is right for me. What should I do?
Choose the level that feels closest to where you are — you don't need to get it perfect. Once you enroll, The Boss will make sure you're placed in the right class. If you have specific questions about your level or your situation, you can reach out directly by email or WhatsApp.
Will I have to speak in front of the whole class?
Speaking is a central part of the program, but you won't be thrown into situations without guidance. The Boss leads the interaction, gives you the support you need, and creates repeated opportunities for every student to participate.
How long is the program?
The program lasts 12 weeks, with one 90-minute live session each week. The structure is designed to give you consistent practice and enough time to build, use and consolidate your Italian throughout the program.
How many students are in each class?
Each class has a maximum of 10 students. We keep the groups small so there is room for individual attention, guided practice and, most importantly, plenty of opportunities to speak.
Where do the classes take place?
All classes with The Italian Language Boss are live and exclusively online via Zoom. Filitalia International also offers in-person classes, but From Your Head to Your Mouth with The Italian Language Boss is an online program.
How do I download Zoom?
Zoom is free to download at zoom.us, or by searching "Zoom" in your phone's app store. You don't need a paid Zoom account — the free version is all you need to join your live classes. You don't even need to install anything to join: clicking your class's Zoom link opens the option to join directly from your browser.
Do I need to be a Filitalia International member?
No. You do not need to be a Filitalia International member to join the program. Filitalia members receive an additional discount on the program price. If you are eligible and would like to become a member, you can find membership requirements and information on how to join through Filitalia International.
What happens after I enroll?
After you enroll, you'll receive a confirmation email with everything you need to get started. You'll also receive access to the private WhatsApp group for your class, where you'll find the Zoom link and class information.
What if I need to change my class time?
If you realize that another class time would work better for you, reach out to us and we'll do our best to accommodate you, depending on availability. When enrolling, however, please choose your class carefully and make sure the day and time work for you.
What happens if I miss a class?
Reach out and you can get a recording of the session you missed, so you don't fall behind. Recordings are kept on Zoom's cloud for up to 14 days after the class, then they're automatically deleted — so ask for yours soon after you miss a class.
What is your refund policy?
All sales are final — we don't offer refunds once you've enrolled. Please make sure your class day and time work for you before enrolling.
